There are some stories in life where no matter how wild they are, you cannot make something that stupid up.
Last Friday morning I walked out to my car to do a few errands before work to find the tire on my car off. No joke. I wish I would have taken a picture. Someone went through all the trouble to remove the tire off my care place THEIR donut on my car and leave the tire behind. Not even kidding. I was lost for words, the boyfriend just looked at the tire, then up at me, then back at the tire with his jaw wide open.
Naturally we figure to call and set up to get it all switched back and such. When I get in the car the other tire is making a horrible noise! It didn't fit my car, and was scraping against the break on the inside. Great right? I didn't want to get dirty before work in 100 degree weather. Sillyness.
Best part of the story.
Just as I'm getting out of my car my dad drives up on a tractor (John Deere) if anyone is keeping score. How many people can tell a story and say their dad drove up on a tractor? Anyways thanks to him, we pulled out the Jack, I changed the tire, got my face and shirt all greasy, then we all stood around trying to figure out what the hell happened. Worlds dumbest criminals? Yes I believe so.
I still had to call the Police Department and file another report about the hinky crap that has been going on around our place. (Spray painting cars, stolen items and such) If it was a one time deal it wouldn't have been a big problem, just a pain in the bum. This isn't the first thing though so yup.
That's life in hick town USA. I should write a country song about it.
Life After College
I couldn't think of anything clever so you are stuck with this.

Catching Up
Goodness, over a month! Been working hard and paying those bills like a responsible adult. The job is stressful with long hours, however it could be worse. Ever feel like you're working your bum off and no matter what you do you just don't feel like you're doing a good job? That is totally personal by the way, supervisors are great and understanding, but I feel like I dunno. Lol.
What happened to going to bed at six am and waking up at twelve ready to take a final? Oh college, I sure miss you.
During the week I work at this place called Micah House. We work with at risk kids with their homework and such, it's a really good program, but I don't know what has been in the water lately. These kids have been wow. I walked into the room one day, and I'm not making this up the second grade girl was down right beating on a fifth grade boy. Completely lost for words I had to put on the stern Ashley face, but it was crazy!
September 7th, or 8th depending on when this actually gets published is going to be awesome with Rookie Blue. We'll hope for the best, and expect the worst. That might just be my motto kinda like "I have a PhD in Horribleness" Total geek going on here. Oh well.
To catch up, tomorrow/today is the two hour finale of Rookie Blue. Can I go all fan girl for a moment?
All I can say about McSwarek is finally! I was literally jumping up and down like a three year old on a sugar high. Best. Summer. Show. Ever. The entire season has kept me on the edge of my seat wondering what is next and anticipating the next Thursday.
I mean there is the Diaz, Epstien, and Peck bit, then the possible Luke and Peck bit, however, let us all be truly honest. I don't care...Yup. So apparetnly in the first hour the two cannot stay away from each other then, Sammy is in trouble, and they are trying to find him. Who knows how it all goes down. From experience though we all know something will happen to make either Swarek or McNally back down. Erg.
Castle is back on September 19. Is anyone else completely excited?
I might be. I also might have watched the promo a few...a lot of times. Does anyone else want to give Castle a huge hug when he says "it's all my fault". No, no it's not! By the way I have not been counting down the days until the nineteenth *cough* 12 days *cough* I know they aren't going to get together and all, and after a long summer of reruns all I have to say is, I have faith in the writers. Hopefully.
Believe it or not I was supposed to do laundry today and not leave it until tomorrow. Again. Instead I watched Trucker which again has Nathan Fillion. Dunno what to say about that movie, I guess it's one you just have to watch and see what you think? Give it a shot, let me know.
We also have Psych coming in October.
Lassie, or Lasiter found out about Shawn and Jewels. What will happen? Who knows, I sure don't but that's kinda obvious. My boyfriend used to complain about Psych saying it was dumb, and you want to know what he has been doing for the past two days?? Right you got it, watching Psych. He sings the theme song too when he thinks I'm not paying attention. Boys can be rather silly.
So O.A.R. is heading out to San Diego on October 1st and will be in Las Vegas on October 15th. I want to either go bungee jumping or skydiving in Vegas. I can't choose though, both sound incredibly awesome and fun! Oh what to do.
We still have a lot to cover, hopefully I'll keep up!

Best TV Male/Female Duo?
There are so many awesome TV Duos. How can you choose between one?! So here are some of the top qualifiers (In my opinion).
Male/Female Leads
Booth and Brennan (Bones)
Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz @David_Boreanaz Twitter) and Dr. Temperance Brennan or Bones (Emily Deschanel). He's a FBI agent, and she is a forensic anthropologist. Don't be fooled Bones can take care of herself. Known to punch gang members, carry large hand guns (illegally) and solve unsolvable murders, she is a force to be known.
On the pilot episode we meet Bones a socially awkward, and no nonsense kind of woman. Booth, people person, and defender of the voiceless. Opposites attract?
These two are an unlikely pair they fuss, fight, but eventually she agrees to work with him again. We don't know why Bones was angry with Booth until episode 100. In which we find out Booth is in love with her too. They went full circle, square, and triangle. Now finally entering season seven Bones is pregnant with Booth's baby. Yay?! Right? Or is it going to make the show go down hill?
Personally I have faith in Hart Hanson (@HartHanson Twitter) I believe he'll reel us viewers back in to the romance from these two.
Look at Hodgins (TJ Thyne @TJThyne Twitter) and Angela (Michaela Conlin), I mean we were all on the edge of our seat waiting for them to finally get it together and make it work. If anyone can keep the spark alive, I believe it is Hart Hanson.
What will season seven bring? I'm completely at a loss. We have the new Hodgins baby, a pregnancy, and more murders to solve. I can say for sure the season will pick up from the last season. I will have to agree with others in saying season six was a little slow moving, but I think we were just being set up for an awesome seventh season.
Castle and Beckett (Castle)
Richard Castle (Nathan Fillion @NathanFillion Twitter) and Kate Beckett (Stana Katic @Stana_Katic Twitter). As a NYPD Homicide Detective Kate Beckett is known to keep it close to the vest. Castle on the other hand is a 26 time New York Best selling author who is bored with what he is doing. Killing off his main character Castle meets the impressionable detective and instantly is smitten with her. Using her as the inspiration for his new character Nikki Heat, Castle weasels his way into her life.
The witty banter between the two in the first episode caught my attention and held it. It probably didn't hurt that I'm a Nathan Fillion fan. With Beckett constantly teasing Castle, along with his gullible manner the two make a perfect pair.
When Castle pulled a "Writer" ballistics vest out of the trunk of Beckett's patrol car, I about lost it.
Season four should bring considerably awesome surprises to the viewer. Season three left off with Castle and Beckett calling it quits through a heart breaking fight before Montgomery was killed. Then Beckett was shot by a sniper, and Castle confessing his love for her. Where do we go from there? Once you say it, it's out there, no do overs. I'm sure it will be handled in a very Castle/Beckett way. Always right?
Is this the couple that should go all the way? While I want them to get together and be happy, I want them to wait a little be longer before bring the two together. Don't wait until the last season though! If Monica and Chandler can do it they can! Will Beckett's past keep the two apart when Castle has more information on her mother's murder? I'm sure it will, something has to keep them apart right?
In the end, the sexual tension, playful retorts and loyal partnership is definatly one to watch this coming year.
Chuck and Sarah (Chuck)
Chuck Bartowski (Zachary Levi @ZacharyLevi Twitter) and Sarah Walker (Yvonne Strahovski @Y_Strahovski Twitter).
I'm sure the adventure to come will be just has funny and silly as it has been in the past. Morgan always brings a smile to the face of the viewer, lets just hope the writers can pull of another great season.
In the fifth and final season of Chuck there should be a lot of fun. I hear a love interest for Casey, and Morgan looks as though he is shaking things up. The show will be worth watching just to see what the gang is up too.
Marshall and Mary (In Plain Sight)
Mary Shannon (Mary McCormack @marycmccormac Twitter) and Marshall Mann (Frederic Weller @FredericWeller Twitter).
Marshal Mary Shannon is not the picture perfect person you think of keeping you safe, but her rough personality does the trick on many witnesses.
Marshal Marshall Mann on the other tends to be the soft touch in the partnership. Taking kids under his wing, and making sure Mary doesn't go over the line . Marshall clearly has loved Mary from the get go, but she seems to be blind to his feelings. After Mary was shot, watching Marshall break down was a gut buster, or tear jerker.
This season however Mary is pregnant, not with Marshall's baby (he has a new girlfriend) but with her ex-husband's child. Definitely not a Bones twist. It is revealed she wants to give the baby up for adoption, however it looks like she is reconsidering in the most recent episode. With the season finally this coming Sunday we still have to find out what will happen with the dynamic duo.
I personally think this season has been a little disapointing when it comes to Mary/Marshall moments. When we used to get the tension, and I'll always be there for you bits, however from this year the best we have gotten was in the last episode. Marshall telling Mary he will be there for her if she decides to keep the child was sweet, but what happened to these two? I sure hope the season finally makes up for the disappointment of this season so far. Hopefully it will pick up next year, or even give us hope. Who knows. These two do have chemistry though, and I hope it comes back through the writing.

McNally and Swarek (Rookie Blue)
Andy McNally (Melissa "Missy" Peregrym @Missy_Peregrym Twitter) and Sam Swarek (Ben Bass).
She is new, naive, and not ready for what the job has ready for her. Swarek is seasoned, slick, and on top of the job.
She is new, naive, and not ready for what the job has ready for her. Swarek is seasoned, slick, and on top of the job.
In the first episode of Rookie Blue, it's McNally's first day on the job. We meet Swarek when she arrests him and blows his cover. It was definitely not love at first sight, but as time goes on the two gain a great partnership. They almost crossed the line which had viewers begging for them, but it was just a tease.
As of now Andy and Luke got engaged at the begining of the season, that couldn't last right? She is supposed to be with Swarek. Last week McNally figured out that her Knight in Shining Armor, Luke, did the nasty with his old flame and partner Jo. We were left with McNally walking out the door with her bags packed. We were all secretly cheering, while sobbing for her broken heart.
Can Swarek make his move? I sure hope so for our sanity.
Only in it's second season Rookie Blue was renewed for a third season three episodes in. Clearly a hit the dynamics of all of the characters keep the ratings up and the suspense.
There are other notable duos such as Jack Carter and Allison Blake from Eureka, Fringe duos, Warehouse 13 duos, and I'm sure I'll get there some day. However these are top of my list as of now. Don't forget about Bromances, and favorite teams like Stargate SG-1, Atlantis, Criminal Minds, NCIS, NCIS-LA, Bones, Castle, and many others.
Who is your favorite TV Duo?

King Out Today!
In honor of King being released today I thought I'd give some love to the boys themselves.
Marc Roberge. Lead singer and rhythmic guitar.
What I like about Marc is his voice is a little different from the mainstream. He doesn't try to be anything but himself. On top of that, he is an amazing lyricist. Twitter @marcroberge The first time I met this guy he gave my best friend Donna and I the biggest hug. Who does that right? Good guy. We were in San Francisco a couple years back. It was after a show, definitely not the better part of San Francisco. Donna and myself had been chatting with him, when a homeless guy came up and began heckling us. He ran the guy off, asked where we parked, and I'm sure if we hadn't parked close he would have walked us to our car. Awesome big brother? Yeah I think so. You don't get good guys like that anymore these days.
Richard On. Main guitarist and backup vocals.
I have to say without a doubt my favorite solo of Richards is in Untitled. I don't have a reason other than it's my favorite.
Twitter @Richard_On
First time we met Richard. I think it was outside a theater in San Francisco. Not the same one from before. I'm not sure, but I think it was my very first O.A.R. show. Donna was getting all flustered. So hilarious. He was nice and while I made fun of her, he didn't.
Benj Gershmam the Bass player.
A year younger from the rest. Considering he spends his days rocking out on stage with his friends one of the most shy people I have ever met. Twitter @lookatlifeman Benj. Man this guy is incredibly hard to get a photo with or anything for that matter. Don't get me wrong, if you run into him he is all for it, but you have to run into him. He always goes surfing when he comes to California. Well that's what he says :-)
Jerry Depizzo. Sax player (Alto, Tenor, and Bari) Guitar, and Drums. What wont this guy do? Fellow Red Bull drinker. Twitter @jerrydepizzo Jerry, another good guy. Donna and I were sitting outside HOB Hollywood when he came walking by. I'll never forget what he said "Hey girls" Donna was speechless, myself? I felt young again. I know I look younger than I am, but kinda cool still. He always has a Red Bull on stage, which is pretty awesome. At a show he poured some of his into another one of my friend's drinks. I think Selina. Lol.
Chris Culos the durmmer
Again also incredibly nice and down to earth. Personally I like the drum break in Lay Down. With himself, Jerry and Mikel Paris. Twitter @chris_culos
Awe Chris. Donna's favorite. I think she just has a soft spot for drummers. In San Diego she got a photo with him outside of HOB. I'd bet you five dollars she is still excited about that.
Mikel Paris. What to say about the unofficial member of O.A.R. For sure he's talented as they come. I wont ask the same question many people ask over and over, why isn't he in the band? Who cares, let the guy be who he wants to be. In my opinion. Twitter @MikelParis
Mikel. At the same show Marc ran off the homeless guy, Donna got a picture with him. I forgot what I was doing, probably roaming the streets bored sitting around. However from what I was told he got out of the car right where they were standing and he was in a terrible hurry. He stopped and took a photo.
I have a thousand stories about these great, nice guys. I'm sure most fans have just as wonderful stories of encounters. These days you don't find such down to earth nice people. Hopefully this gained some respect for the guys, go out, buy their new album. I know for sure it's worth it.

So, catch a show this summer, or fall. Maybe even winter. If they are here in California you can bet your mom's socks I'll be around ready to dance, sing, and have a blast. I have met some amazingly nice people at O.A.R. shows. We all meet before the show now, carpool, hangout, and most of all attend shows together.
To Selina, Betsy, Dave, Chris, Donna, Angel, and anyone else enjoy the release.
Congrats to O.A.R. for an amazing album.

LA Parks
A couple of us hung out in LA a couple weeks ago. Then someone asked me a million questions about it. In turn I'll give the 411 and not have to recite our adventure more than once.
Now I really enjoyed Griffith Park. If it wasn't as warm I'm sure we would have adventured more. I have to admit I had never been to the Griffith Observatory in all my years living in Southern California and I was completely surprised at how nice and fun it was. Even with all of the tourists it was still fun.
Believe it or Matt is not posing for the camera here, he fell, and got rather dirty.
After walking through trees, and various outdoorsy type scenery we ran into this rather large rock. Matt and I couldn't help but climb it. There was a lot of opportunities to get into troupe throughout the park, but remember no fire!
We climbed trees too. Matt had a complete fail on a plank on this tree. I wanted to climb out as far as possible. Seeing as converse are not exactly the best for this kind of activity it got a little slippery, but ended in some rather rambunctious laughter from the peanut gallery. Notice no one else had the juevos, then again it could be argued that no on else was dumb enough to climb out on a tree. Who knows.
I'm not going to lie, Echo Park was a little disappointing. The most exciting thing that occurred aside from Matt and his flawless plank was the massive amounts of goose poo. There was one central happenstance throughout the entire day, or theme. People in LA run funny. Well at least Matt and I thought so. Especially at Echo Park. They were gating off the entire park while we were there, maybe refurbishing? Can you refurbish a park? Who knows, I sure don't. I Probably would still back, however there are other parks I would choose first.

I have to admit I had never been to the Griffith Observatory in all my years living in Southern California and I was completely surprised at how nice and fun it was. Even with all of the tourists it was still fun.
Before you enter the actual Observatory they have this cool like I dunno the right word... inscription, diagram? Anyways there is this thing in the cement that shows the orbit of each of the planets and non planet (Pluto).
This is probably the teacher in me but I thought it was really fun and exciting. In this photo I'm Earth, Matt is Mars, and Ryan played the Sun. Believe it or not we got this photo in one take. I was pretty excited at my awesome photo taking skills until I saw my face. Either way it was still fun goofing around like children on a field trip.
Inside the Observatory there are tons of exhibits. I was excited looking through the little telescopes and stuff. Playing around with what you're allowed to touch (and stuff you're not supposed to touch) What can I say I'm a curious person. It drives Ryan mad, however I think he secretly loves it.
Outside and around the back of the Observatory you can see all of LA, and various parts of Griffith Park. With tons of photo opportunities and places to get lost it's definitely fun for all ages.
On a Wednesday it was still rather busy all around. I don't really have any recommendations on when to go, when not to go or anything. Bring a camera there are tons of photo spots with the Hollywood sign the background and Downtown too. With telescopes you can spy on Griffith Park goers around back. Who knows maybe you'll see a star! No, not that kind of star, the ones in the sky silly. Any who I would go back and spend more time there in the future, or take a class. There is just so much to do, and learn!
After Griffith Park we headed over to Bronson Park. To be fair we were actually looking for the Bronson Caves, and since I was driving I might have taken us to the wrong place. I mean I turned right on a road called Bronson Road. How could I have gone wrong? Well we didn't find the caves but we did find ourselves our own little adventure.
Believe it or Matt is not posing for the camera here, he fell, and got rather dirty.

I learned two very important things while crossing this tree to the other side of the ravine. One Matt is a little chicken when it comes to crossing things. Two Matt hates Andy Dick.
As we were enjoying our day we hear the most annoying voice in the world. Turning to see Andy Dick walk up without a shirt (not the best sight) we all just kind of sit there. Within moments of him passing Matt bursts out "I hate that guy" needless to say we heard the many reasons on our walk back to the car.
When in LA hiking around the various parks try and make eye contact and communicate with people. They will avoid looking at you and when you speak they are so surprised. Being a kid from a smaller town I like to give a "Hi" or a "How's it going". Well when this started happening it became my mission to make people as uncomfortable as possible by being polite.
I'll put up the rest of our adventure at another time.
Keep the nerd close.
Comic Con/SyFy/Dr. Horrible
Comic Con at it's finest. Thank you Blastr for the find. I have had a soft spot for P!nk lately. Might be driving the boyfriend a little mad especially when I blast this song in the car.
Check this out. When you thought it was safe to stay in your own house Video Games Can Be Dangerous . Who knew that pulling a Raid on Halo could be so hazardous to your health. Thanks to Nathan Fillion in the previous video we learned the dangers of swamp ass, but this is on a totally new level. Remember to get up and go for a walk!
Bishop Gets Own Bobblehead For 75th Birthday
Talk about weird news. The worst part is...I found the article. I wouldn't mind a bobblehead look alike. Think about them all.
Fargo (Eureka)
Dwight (The Office)
Shawn & Gus (Psych)
I'm sure there are more, however I cannot think of any. It would be just plain fun. Come to think of it, I have never actually owned a bobblehead. Something to work on I suppose, but a bobblehead.
Summer television. Eureka with Felicia Day? Awesome. Not to mention switching everything up at the beginning of season four. Fargo as the head of GD is genius. I have to thank Barbi for telling me about Eureka. Now on Monday night I find myself in front of the television at 8:00PM logged onto Skype sooner or later talking to Barbi. I'm totally #TeamFargo by the way.
If you've never caught an episode of Eureka it's hilarious. I can't think of another show like it. A town full of scientists who have experiments that go wrong all the time and cause...various effects. It's on Netflix. I completely blame Barbi for me liking Eureka. There is a Cafe Diem in San Diego. I'm gonna go one of these days that's for sure.
You know what else is on Netflix? The Guild, also with Felicia Day. Season five also came out this past week. Haven't caught it though.
Since I have brushed over Nathan Fillion and Felicia day I'll leave with this video.

Joss Whedon is awesome. If you like that, check out the rest of it.
Still to cover in the coming days.
Big Brother: Brenchel, Jeff and Jordan. Who do you want to win? Brenchel is up on the block, but Brendon won PoV. He'll be an idiot and save Rachel. The smarter move would to be to save himself. Think about it, everyone in the house doesn't mind him.
Rookie Blue: Luke and McNally are over. Will Sam make is move? I sure hope so!

Take Two
I'll try this again. It didn't go well last time, but who knows I might be able to keep up with a blog.
Are you ready? O.A.R. is coming out with King on August 2nd! http://www.rdio.com/#/artist/O.A.R./album/King_(Deluxe_Version)/
You can stream it from there. I personally recommend Dangerous Connection, however if you're new to O.A.R. try Heaven first.
Something about this album kicked me in the pants and changed my way of thinking from the past year. I had the awesome opportunity to go to the filming of Heaven with a couple other people I know. Namely Selina, Betsy, and Lucy. The video hasn't come out yet, and I'm 100% sure you probably can't see us, but that's okay we all had a blast hanging out that night.
Don't ask me about the bus, we had fun goofing off though.
So go out, buy the album Tuesday. Don't steal it! It will be worth the money I can promise that.
ofarevolution.com for pre-order. iTunes for digital, and I suppose Target or Best Buy for the actual CD.
@ofarevolution for twitter (Keep up to date with everything there!)
Onto other news, Castle. Wait did I say Castle? Oh yes. Nathan Fillion, Nerd God. You know that guy. @NathanFillion Need I say more? September is so far away! Will Beckett die, live, hear I love you? The questions are as endless as the wait until the premier. Then at Comic Con San Diego they give us this...
Talk about torture. We all know she will live, I mean as gorgeous as Stana Katic is how could they even think about killing her off? Not to mention it's a television show. The real question is do you want them to get together, or not get together. The honest truth I am so completely in the middle on the matter I cannot make a choice. A part of me wants to see them together, and the other part of me likes the tension. Leave it up to the writers.
It always amazes me at how attached we get to a television show and their characters. I guess the writers are doing a good job if viewers get so attached. *Cough* Firefly *Cough* I'm such a nerd.
Speaking of nerds. @nerdmachine on twitter is your go to spot for all nerd things. @ZacharyLevi is the creator and total nerd himself. I'm a bit of a twitter whore. Love it.

Honestly who comes up with something like this other than a total nerd? It represents my point perfectly.
So when in doubt about Zombies by all means ask Zac Levi. He will not let you down.
Keep your eyes open for Chuck this next season. I'm sure I'll update and post information sooner or later.
I will never think of hair dryers in the same way ever again.
A little video heavy, but it's this kind of stuff that makes being a nerd fun. I'm still completely bummed that I couldn't make it to comic con this year. Next year come hell or high water I am there.
Thank you for reading, and keep the nerd close to your heart. Embrace it, love it, and most of all be who you are. I have learned that much after college.
